Our first year boys football team travelled to Wicklow to play Coláiste Craobh Abhann, Kilcoole on Tuesday 10th May. The boys were victorious with an impressive score of 8-5 to 4-9. After playing with the wind in the first half, Dunamase College were leading by 3-2 to 2-4. Scores came from Oisin Ó Giollagáin (2-0) and Joe Cahill (1-2). Brilliantly taken goal from Joe Cahill just before half time for Dunamase to take the lead.
After falling behind in the second half, Dunamase battled back to regain the lead. Scores from Joe Cahill (2-1)and Ben Malone (0-1). The game was nip and tuck going into the last five minutes before Dunamase pulled away. Callum Ó Lochlainn (2-0), Oisin Ó Giollagáin (1-0) and Alex Sheehan (0-1) finished off the scoring for Dunamase.
They lifted the Dr Hubert Shield with pride. Captain on the day was Oisín Gilligan with Joe Cahill being named as Man of the Match. Well done to the team and their coaches Múinteoir Ben and Múinteoir Tadhg. Another proud day for Dunamase College.
